Arctic ground squirrels can be considered the kings and queens of hibernation – In order to survive the harsh Arctic winter, the squirrels hunker down in their burrow and hibernate. Their body temperature drops as low as -2.9 C and their organs shut down — even their heart beats only 1-3 times every minute.

It is therefore rather surprising that this arctic ground squirrel, however, does not plan to nap during Christmas… Instead, it has planned for “nuttin’ but Christmas vibes“!
